Inner Healing

Seek the Lord our healer.OIP (3)

Those who have had unpleasant experiences in their lives, including but not limited to trauma, are often brokenhearted. As we learned in a previous lesson, we are designed with a body that has a soul (composed of the heart, will, and emotions) and a spirit. Depending on the kind of bad experiences people have endured, they may have experienced bodily injury, as well as injury to their soul because of how they reacted to the circumstances they went through.

Psalm 34:18 YHVH is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

Psalm 147:3 He (YHVH) heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 61:1-3 The Spirit of YHVH Elohim (God) is upon me, because YHVH has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of YHVH’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our Elohim; to comfort all who mourn; 3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of YHVH, that he may be glorified.

In Luke 4, Yeshua had returned to Nazareth where He grew up. He went to the synagogue and read the Haftarah portion for that Sabbath. Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of YHVH is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of YHVH’s favor.”  As Yeshua progressed in His ministry, He was fulfilling this passage in Isaiah 61:1-3 except for “the day of vengeance of our Elohim,” which is for the future.

Rejoice because Yeshua wants to heal our ailing bodies, broken hearts, and crushed spirits today! He does not want us to suffer the triggered emotions of certain life experiences forever. He desires to repair our errant templates, heal our painful memories, and remove all the word curses over our lives that we have internalized, as well as our fear, guilt, shame, depression, sadness, anxiety, anger, resentfulness, bitterness, which resulted from all of that. Are you ready for Him to do that for you?

Avoid fear; instead, trust in the Lord.

Psalm 18:2 YHVH is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my Elohim, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Luke 12:4-7 “I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before Elohim. 7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

The Lord does not want us to walk through life with any level of fear. We are to fear Him and trust in Him concerning every aspect of our lives. If you ever experience an overwhelming spirit of fear that paralyzes you for no reason, realize this may have happened because of giving the enemy license through sin in your life. Renounce the sin and tell that spirit of fear to leave you alone now and forever in the name of Yeshua.

Elohim is love, and He loves each one of us so much! Our souls long to be loved, and Elohim’s love is perfect! (1 John 4:16) Elohim’s love gives us the ability to trust Him. Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in YHVH, whose trust is YHVH. 8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The phrase, “like a tree planted by water” in Jeremiah 17:8 is a reminder of the phrase “oaks of righteousness” in Isaiah 61:3. In other words, the Lord wants us to be nourished, strong, and fruitful. Do you want this to describe you? I do!

Remove every root of bitterness from your soul.

Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of Elohim; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled. Roots of bitterness can grow into something ugly and adversely impact those around you! It can cost you your job, as well as your relationships! Renounce any bitterness you have toward those who have mistreated you, so that you can receive Elohim’s loving kindness.

Romans 12:18-21 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of Elohim, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says YHVH.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Can you allow Elohim to deal with those who have abused and persecuted you? Can you think of any ways to bless your enemies and show the love of Elohim to them?

Forgive others.

If we want to have true freedom and healing from bad life experiences, we must forgive (release) those who have trespassed against us, no matter how bad the offense was. Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts!

prison-3357414_1280Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Unforgiveness keeps you in a prison, and the other person involved may not realize anything is awry. Make a list of those who have trespassed against you and forgive them. Release them from what they have done while realizing and accepting the consequences of what happened may remain. Do not forget to forgive those who are already deceased; this is obviously for your sake, not theirs. If necessary, listen to the other person’s viewpoint, and do not hesitate to apologize. Sometimes it may not be possible to reconcile with the other person, but attempts should be made to remove any hostility or resentment for whatever took place when appropriate or possible.

Consider how you can react better in the future if confronted with a comparable situation.

Set healthy boundaries.

Do not be afraid to set healthy boundaries in your life to prevent people from abusing you. Ask Elohim what the best boundaries should be. Elohim did not create you to be a doormat, so do not let people treat you that way. When you forgive someone, decide if the relationship is salvageable or not, and set appropriate boundaries.

Allow Elohim to comfort you.

comfort2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Blessed be the Elohim and Father of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, the Father of mercies and Elohim of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by Elohim. 5 For as we share abundantly in Messiah’s sufferings, so through Messiah we share abundantly in comfort too.

Take your pain, sorrow, and grief to Elohim who can comfort you. Share your feelings with Him. You are not alone in your suffering. Allow the Scriptures to comfort you. However, guard your thoughts. Do not linger too long on your grief; spend time praising and thanking the Lord for His greatness, provision, goodness, mercy, and grace. Do not give Satan a foothold that could lead to a stronghold in your life. Use your experience to minister comfort to others.

Revisit painful memories for healing as the Lord brings them up.

Do present-day circumstances trigger or remind you of previous, unpleasant events in your life? Do you experience irritation, anger, frustration, resentment, fear, jealousy, desire for vengeance, depression, anxiety, or other strong emotions for reasons you cannot fully identify or because that is how you have reacted ever since an unpleasant event in your life? Perhaps the Lord wants to go back to the original event that formed a bad template, so you can renounce poor, sinful reactions that may have impacted you and stayed with you as you moved into the future, and/or maybe the Lord wants to remove demons that may have entered your life and hindered you ever since that event took place. You may need someone who can pray with you and receive visions from the Lord to get to the event or root of your problem. Do not hesitate to submit yourself to the Lord for healing!

Discern the voices you hear.

We must be extremely careful of what we allow into our souls. Experience has shown me that people who hear their names being called may be hearing demons. It is not always a “1 Samuel 3:10 experience.” It is better to say, “Lord, if that’s you, speak for your servant is listening.” It is not unusual for people, especially children, to hear a voice that sounds like someone they know and trust in the daytime when that person is not around; this can be either Elohim or demons. This is not necessarily an auditory hallucination or psychological problem as many assume. If this happens to you or your children, you should ask the spirits who they are and confirm who they serve. If they respond by cursing at you, you will know the truth about them. Ask Elohim to cover you and your children in the blood of Yeshua and command the demons to leave in the name of Yeshua.

If your children are afraid to go to bed at night or have bad dreams, do not dismiss it as nothing. It is something that you must deal with from a spiritual perspective as soon as possible. Otherwise, they may need to seek healing from it after they become an adult.

Praise the Lord.

As you move forward in faith, be sure to give glory and honor to the Lord for what He does in your life!

James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Let Elohim lead you through your suffering, so you can offer Him the sacrifice of praise. This is the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (faint spirit).

Hebrews 13:15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to Elohim, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Prayer:

prayerFather, I praise Your holy name, and I thank You for all things. I renounce all fear, anger, frustration, irritation, resentment, bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness, and desire for vengeance that is in my heart. I forgive all those who have trespassed against me (name them) and ask you to bless them. Whenever their trespasses come to mind, please do not allow those memories to trigger ill feelings towards them. Instead, please fill my heart with love and compassion for them, as well as for all other believers in Messiah. Show me how to bless them. Help me to set healthy boundaries for the people in my life.

I command all curses related to trauma, fear, anxiety, depression, sadness, abandonment, soul fragmentation, anger, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, or anything else hindering my healing to be broken in the name of Yeshua. I command all demons associated with fear, anxiety, depression, sadness, abandonment, soul fragmentation, anger, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, guilt, shame, or anything else that plagues me and hinders my healing to leave me now and forever in the name of Yeshua. (Take a deep breath and exhale.)

Lord, please give me an emotional reset. Comfort my soul and remove my grief and sorrow. I ask that any soul fragments be completely healed and united together as one. Please reveal to me what I need to do to repair my errant life-templates, and please remove all triggers associated with them. Help me to see events and circumstances in my life the way you see them. Help me to respond appropriately in all situations. I ask your Holy Spirit to minister ongoing healing in my life. Thank you, Father, for what you are doing in my life. In Yeshua name I pray, Amen.
